window #209

the window reveals a street without your car
black honda with character i didn't think i'd miss
the window reveals black skies with your gloominess from afar
brown hair, brown eyes, soft lips i used to kiss

the window reveals
the window reveals
the window just won't heal
the layers that are just beginning to peal

the window reveals flashes and thunder
crimson rage that led to this blunder
the window reveals these words that ironically used to hide
blue skies now dark to match the gloom that i must ride

the window reveals
the window reveals
the window just won't heal
the faith that now reels

the window reveals the minutes, the hours, the endlessness consumed
greyness abounds in a heartbeat slowed, a house with more room
the window reveals a clarity lacking
white bags communicate more than just our packing

the window reveals
the window reveals
the window just won't heal
the r-e-a-l-i-t-y sets in these stormy dealings
